Highlights
Description
Mount Sibayak (Indonesian: Gunung Sibayak) is a volcano overlooking the town of Berastagi in Northern Sumatera, Indonesia with altitude of 2,172 meter above sea level. It is a type ‘A’ volcano because it experienced a magmatik eruption at least once after 1600. In the peak area of Sibayak there is a craterlake with an area ± 200 m x 200 m and there is a solfatara that produces sulfur with hot steam that gushes and a stretch of andesite lava rock around it.
Lau Sidebukdebuk (Hot Spring) is a natural tourist attraction with a temperature of 40-45 °C located at the foot of Mount Sibayak which is located in Semangat Gunung Village, Merdeka District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province. This place is bordered by Deli Serdang Regency to the north and west, with Jaranguda Village to the south, and with Berastagi District to the east. The source of hot springs containing sulfur or sulfur about 16% appears through cracks from lava flows in the southern area of the slopes of Mount Sibayak
Sipiso-piso waterfall, is one of the tallest waterfall in Indonesia. The name Sipiso-piso mean ‘like a knife'; it has 120m high and it located in Tonggiang village, 45 Kilometers from Berastagi at the northern end of Lake Toba. Sipiso-Piso Waterfall has beautiful scenery and fascinating sightseeing. Among the cliffs that look greenish, the fall water is looking majestic by its grace. As we stand or sit far from the location, we can enjoy the beauty Sipiso-piso and Lake Toba from a distance at the same time.
