Darjeeling and Sikkim Tour Packages

Day 01 – NJP/Siliguri/Bagdogra-Gangtok Night Stay

Arrive NJP/Siliguri Railway Station or Bagdogra airport & transfer to Gangtok.Then start for a day trip of Gangtok city covering Banjakhri Falls, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Flower show, Dro-dul Chorten & Institute of Tibetology (maximum 3-4 hours).its strategic location,a strong Buddhist presence and heady cultural offerings make the First City of Sikkim.You can also have a Great view of the Peaks of Mt.Khangchendzonga from Gangtok in a clear Weather.In the Evening you will be taken to the MG Marg which is an Open Area having Pubs,Shopping Malls,Restaurants,Bars,Shops selling Local Goods on its around.One can take a Leisurely Stroll or just Sit and Relax to soak oneself in the ambience.Overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Day 02 – Trip to Changu Lake and Baba Mandir (Nathula - Optional)

Early morning breakfast – Permit for this tour is made one day prior to visit.Visit to Tsomgo / Changu Lake and Baba Mandir.Tsomgo lake is one of the holy lakes of the region.There is a temple of Lord Shiva on the lakeside.Primula flowers and other alpine plantation in this region will please your eyes for sure.Till April it is full of snow and lay frozen.

(Nathu La Pass visit has to be arranged in the previous Night when Voters ID card will be asked for.Once if the Permit of the Nathu La Pass been booked then the amount is not refunded even though the trip gets cancelled. Nathula Pass supplement-INR 3000-5000 /Vehicle or INR 500-700/Head has to be paid on the spot as it is not included in the final costing) - Back to hotel for lunch or lunch on the way.The rest of the day is free.Evening one is free to stroll around M G Road or the Local Market.Overnight stay at Gangtok

Day 03 – Transfer to Lachung from Gangtok

Early morning breakfast.Drive 135 kilometres, 5/6 hours drive through a scenic route.Enroute visit Singhik View Point, Seven Sisters Waterfalls, Naga Waterfall.Reach Lachung late afternoon / early evening.Evening free to visit Lachung Monastery, Overnight stay at Hotel at Lachung.

Day 04 – Sight Seeing at Yumthang & Transfer to Lachen

Early morning breakfast – After breakfast drive towards Yumthang situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet – 26 kilometres and 1 ½ hours drive - On the way back one can visit the famous hot spring which is known for its curative properties of skin diseases - Yumthang is a valley near the river Lachung Chu surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends - In spring,the valley erupts in riots of colors as Primulae, Rhododendrons and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom along with snow covered valley except in autumn - During winter Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow clad mountains adding to the beauty.

After Lunch Transfer to Lachen - 90 kilometres and is 3 - 4 hours drive -Reach Lachen late afternoon / early evening - The snow capped peaks, the Shingba Wildlife Sanctuary, Gurudongmar Lake, Chopta Valley, Thangu are the major attractions. It’s a valley surrounded by gigantic and humbling snow peaked mountains and the starting point of Green Lake Trek. In fact the village cradled between stern, tall rock faces standing like guards. A hamlet with very few people. Evening free to stroll and visit the Lepcha Village.

Overnight stay at Hotel in Lachen.

Day 05 – Excursion to Gurudongmar Lake and Transfer to Gangtok

Early morning breakfast – Visit to Gurudongmar Lake 55 kilometres, 2 ½ - 3 ½ hours drive - we will go through the high altitude valleys over 12,000 feet through which Lachen Chu flows.This valleys are generally covered with snow from December to April.Gurudongmar Lake even more is known as the Holy / Sacred Lake - Next drive through the cold desert till Tibet / China back to Resort for Lunch.

After lunch Drive to Gangtok – Nearly 150 kilometres and 5/6 hours drive – Check into hotel at Gangtok by 8 PM.

Overnight stay at Hotel at Gangtok.

Day 06 – Transfer to Darjeeling & Darjeeling Local Sightseeing

Early Morning breakfast.Then start the forwarding journey to Darjeeling (125 kilometres 3 ½ - 4 hours). Darjeeling - At an elevation of 2123 meters / 7001 feet, the land of breathtaking beauty, amidst rolling tea gardens, crowned by the majestic Himalayas popularly known as the Queen of the hills - Jewel in the crown of the Eastern Himalayas with its mesmerizing beauty and offers spectacular views of Mount Everest, Mount Kanchendzonga and many other Himalayan Peaks..Check in to hotel.

After a quick freshen up we will start a half day sightseeing tour of Darjeeling covering important tourist spots like Padma Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, H.M.I., Darjeeling Ropeway, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tea Garden, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre and Gorkha Stadium.At evening stroll to the Mall (Chowrasta-The City Center of Darjeeling City) and enjoy the ambience. Overnight stay at hotel in Darjeeling

Day 07 – Tiger Hill Sightseeing and Drop

Early morning at around 3:45 AM drive to 8000 feet / 2440 meters through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather) – On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace Memorial & Batasia Loop – Back to hotel for breakfast - After breakfast start the return journey towards Siliguri/NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport with the Sweet Memories of your Darjeeling Sikkim Trip.
