Join this 10 days Ranikhet panoramic yoga and meditation journey, intended for those who want to explore the typical local culture, the Himalayas ranges, wildlife and nature around Ranikhet (Uttarakhand) while deepening your yoga, meditation and writing practice.

The Himalaya gives you a divine feeling and makes you realize the true meaning of spiritualism. From ancient times, the Himalaya has been the healing power at sacred places performing spiritual activities and connecting yourself with his powers is the main purpose of this retreat.

On this retreat, Ranikhet will be the base centre for all days. You will have the chance to reset and get attuned on a mind-body-emotional level through a deep connection with nature in silence sometimes, or through meditation. The retreat is available for solo travellers, couples or groups

Day 1: Rishikesh

Visit the holy city of Rishikesh and enjoy the sunrise from the Kunjapuri Temple. Also included in the tour is the cave called Vasistha. There are many Hindu ashrams in Rishikesh. The Ganges River is a focal point for the after-sundown aarti that begins with a holy fire ceremony. For many generations, Rishikesh has functioned as a wayside for both pilgrims and holy men who are venturing into the Himalayas in a quest for purity.

Day 2: Rishikesh to Rudraprayag

Enjoy the view of the confluence point at Devprayag and visit the temples at Devprayag. In the evening, you can visit the confluence point and Koteshwar Mahadev Temple. One of the Panch Prayags on the Alaknanda River’s five confluences, the city is often described as the “Abode of the Gods”. In addition to the overwhelming Himalayas, there is an abundance of variety in the flora and fauna of the area, which is further enhanced by rushing sacred rivers. A story says that Narad received Lord Shiva’s blessing in Rudraprayag and appeared in Rudra avatar. There are several famous temples: Kedarnath, Madhyamaheshwar, Tungnath, and Kalimath. Rishi Agastya used this place for several years of meditation.

Day 3: Rudraprayag to Ranikhet

Join the early morning yoga class and drive to Ranikhet. On the way one of the Panchbadri- Adi Badri. This beautiful hill station is a tourist attraction for all seasons. The natural beauty includes majestic forests of pine trees and intricate flowering plants that scent the breeze. Birds are singing in the shadow of the enormous Himalayas, making the place of Ranikhet live up to its name: Meadows of the Queen or Queens Land. On the way to Ranikhet, you’ll find Adi Badri, one of the Panchbadri. The drive to Ranikhet will be memorable and stay in your mind for years.

Day 4: Ranikhet to Binsar Mahadev, Haida Khan

Binsar Mahadev is 19 kms from Ranikhet. This place is surrounded by the dense forest out of the main road very peaceful Temple of lord Shiva followed by other Hindu Gods, it is a unique place for yoga and meditation. A dense forest surrounds Binsar Mahadev. It is said that Lord Shiva used the location for yoga and meditation. It is a beautiful area that other Hindu Gods also used for meditation. Haida Khan Temple is 5km from Ranikhet. This Temple was made by Haidakhan who is believed to be the incarnation of Lord Shiva to whom this temple is dedicated. Haida Khan left his mortal body in 1984, at a very young age.

Day 5: Ranikhet to Dunagiri Temple and Babaji Cave

Leave to Dunagiri temple which is located at a hilltop, surrounded by dense forest. According to mythology Hanuman Ji dropped some sanjivni Booti while carrying mountain to Lanka (Currently Shrilanka). From here 5km trek up to Pandukholi Temple (Pandavas Shelter). It is one of the places where Pandavas took shelter during ‘Agyatvas’ (Anonymous stay). Dunagiri Temple is surrounded by an amazing array of multicolored, natural flowers that only add to the appeal of the hilltop temple. The Temple has a long history in fact and mythology regarding the origins of the temple’s location. Babaji Cave is in a beautiful hillside cave with a rich Hindu history. It is possible to spend time meditating in the cave itself. You will bask in the strong spiritual vibrations and views of the Himalayas.

Day 6: Ranikhet to Katarmal Sun Temple

Katarmal Sun Temple is at an altitude of 2,116 meters above sea level. It was built in the 9th century nearby Almora, It is considered to be the second most important Sun Temple in India. The ruins of the temple attract pilgrims from around the world. It has the most unique architecture with intricate carvings that rival the best anywhere. Many devotees of the Sun God offer prayers at the ruins. There is one main temple which is encompassed by 45 shrine temples that boast intricate carvings.

Day 7: Ranikhet to Sitlakhet

Leave for Sitlakhet and trek 3km to reach the famous “Syahi Devi temple”. Leave for Shitlakhet –known as forest trek, Himalayan ranges and calm environment. Renowned for meditation, writing, and contemplation in a natural environment, Sitlakhet is home of the Syahi Devi Temple. The temple has many devotees that visit it regularly for meditation. Sitlakhet is renowned additionally for medicinal plants and herbs. Many tourists trek to the area and use Sitlakhet as a base camp. The area has an altitude of 3,879 meters and offers amazing scenery, fruitful orchards, peace and quiet.

Day 8: Ranikhet to Jageshwar Temple, Kasar Devi Temple

After morning breakfast departure to Jageshwar Temple considered one of the Jyotirlingas, surrounded by Deodar forest. This very famous temple is an attraction to thousands of visitors each year. With over 124 temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Jageshwar is also known as a temple town. Many of the temples have astounding stone images in the altar area. Stone lingams are present in most temples. A tall shikhara is crowned by both a kalasha crown and a capstone. This temple consists of several small temples of which the Maha Mritunjaya Temple and the largest one is the Dandeshwara temple.

On the same day we will go to Kasar Devi which is also great for Yoga and meditation purpose. The place is great for spiritual seekers. The area was visited by many famous personalities like – Swami Vivekananda, Sunyata Baba, Alfred Sorensen and Lama Anagarika Govinda, Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Cat Stevens, Western Buddhist Thurman, and writer D. H. Lawerence. This temple has been of special importance because the region around this temple has an enormous geomagnetic field because this temple comes under Van Allen Belt. NASA also researched the formation of this magnetic field similar to Machu Picchu in Peru and Stonehenge in England.

Day 9: Ranikhet to Rudraprayag

Back to Rudraprayag and join the Aarti at the confluence point of Mandakini and Alaknanda river.

Day 10: Rudraprayag to Rishikesh

This is the last day of our journey. Keep all the beautiful days in your mind and back to Rishikesh.
