Dharavi Slum Tour is an educational walking tour of the community which aims to dispel the negative stereotypes of life in slums. We want invest the profits from the tour back into community. Our guides who conduct this tour are from the neighborhood.

Dharavi is the largest slum in India. We would love to give you an educational insight of the area, by visiting different neighborhoods and discussing everyday life and social issues of the locals. People in Dharavi are very friendly and welcoming. We start our tour from the working district where you will be able to see locals engaged in different professions and jobs and other half we will tour the residential area. We intent to dispel the negative image of the slum and plan to put part of the profits from tour for social activities.

We meet at the Thirdwave Coffee Shop after everyone arrives at the meeting point.We take a small taxi ride towards the bridge. Once we get to the bridge we start walking into the working district of slums, where we get to see how locals are engaged in different professions. After learning about the working conditions and other important aspects of employment,we head to residential areas, where we discuss about everyday life and social issues faced by the community
