After meeting walk leader, walk towards "Lodhi Gardens": one of the charming green spaces in Delhi is also dotted with Historical Ruins. The area was used as a burial for Delhi's (pre-Mughal) Sayyid and Lodi rulers. Mohammad Shar's tomb (1450) can be seen as a predecessor for the architecture of Humayun's tomb and Sikander Lodi's tomb (1571) is set within a walled enclosure and clearly related to Humayun's tomb garden.
Safdarjang Tomb: Entry fees of the tomb is INR 30 For Indians & INR 300 for the foreigners: After a 10 minutes walk from the lodhi gardens, we now enter Safdarjang Tomb by paying the requisite entry fees. Safdarjung's Tomb is the last enclosed garden tomb in Delhi. It was built in 1753- 54 as mausoleum of Safdarjung, the viceroy of Awadh under the Mughal Emperor, Mohammed Shah. The huge garden encompassing the mausoleum, designed in line with the conventional charbagh garden style of the Mughals, is segregated into four squares with footpaths and water canals around them.
