Samaria gorge hiking Private Tour

Driving for about 1 hour from the pick up point to the entrance of Samaria National Park you will have a nice view of the mountain range of the White Mountains, as we climb up to the plateau of Omalos at 1230m altitude.

Just a few meters after passing the entrance of the Samaria Gorge is enough to have the feeling of entering a pure natural world.

16 km (10 miles) of downhill rocky trail full of natural beauty, stunning rock formations and centuries of history will smoothly end up in the South Cretan Sea offering a refreshing dip in the crystal clear waters!

At the end of the gorge there is only one small village (the village of Agia Roumeli). Here you can find restaurants and taverns for dining and a beautiful beach with all the facilities (sunbeds, showers, changing rooms, etc.)

The village of Agia Roumeli has no road network. The only way to get back to the starting point is to take the ferry from there to the nearest port and then take a transfer to the entrance of the gorge. The only ferry departs at 17:30 each day and your tickets will already be pre-booked by us.
