A great day begins since we will start our special one day tour with the most famous sites of Athens after Acropolis and then the famous Poseidon temple of Attica peninsula!
Pick up from your Hotel to start our Athens City Tour from the Parliament and the Guards at the Unknown Soldier’s Tomb(15’). We continue to the University of Athens, the Academy, the Library (passing by for photos)and then we make a short stop at the Panathinaiko Stadium ( 20’) where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896 and at the Temple of Zeus & Hadrian’s Gate (30’).Then we will continue driving across the Athenian Riviera where almost one hour later we will reach the second most popular sightseeing of Athens,Cape Sounio and the great Temple of God Poseidon!
Cape Sounio is located 70 km southeastern of Athens, at the southernmost spot of Athens. Sounion is noted as the site of ruins of an ancient Greek temple of Poseidon, the God of the sea in classical Greek mythology. We stroll around the temple taking photos and admiring the amazing Aegean Sea ( 50’-60’).
Lunch on the coast and return at your hotel late in the afternoon. (approx. 7-8 hours tour).
