Sightrunning in Düsseldorf: Running Tour + Sightseeing at Rhine River

First of all, a disclaimer:

We run a smooth tempo, you do not need to worry about speed or your condition, you will enjoy the Sightseeing tour.

But... what is Sightrunning?

We give you the chance to combine doing sports with learning more about the city you are visiting, Düsseldorf.

Hence you can do something for your body and for your soul :-).

We will start our tour “Sightrunning Düsseldorf” in the middle of the city in the oldtown – at the Schlossturm. We will align on chat or via phone to ensure how we will find each other.

From Schlossturm we will run with you to the North. We run along the Promenade of the Rhine river of Düsseldorf, leaving the core touristic area and show you the Northern part of the Rhine Park.

Form there we will run up to the Northern bridge (Theodor Heuss Bridge) from where you can see also our the stadium, the Merkur Spiel Arena.

This first part of Düsseldorf’s sightrun happens on the Eastern Side of the river.

Go West: Reaching Düsseldorf Oberkassel and Niederkassel, the more rich part of the city.

By passing the bridge we will cross the river and show you also the western part of the river.

Düsseldorf Niederkassel and Oberkassel. Being on the Western part of during our Düsseldorf Sightrun you will have a nice view on the Altstadt if good whether conditions allow it.

We will run along the street and will see a lot of luxury car brands.

We will tell you about a bridge that was able to move from one place to another, the Oberkasseler bridge. Hard to believe but it`s really true!

It happened in the 70tees and there is even a video showing the movement.

On our most South spot of the Sightrun we will cross the third bridge, the Rheinkniebrücke. It is very close to the Rhinetower.

After crossing, we will enter the southern Part of the promenade. You will see -depending on the time- a lot of people idling around. Tourists and people from Düsseldorf share this place as it is one of the most beautiful ones to.

Finally we will end our Sightseeing tour at Schlossturm again, we will have ran 8 km, are a bit exhausted.
