Discover the world of the pharaohs!
Embark with us on a journey to the breathtaking temples of Egypt
In the early morning hours, at 4am, you will be picked up from your hotel and embark on a 5 hour drive along the mountains and desert towards Luxor. Around 9 a.m., we arrived at our destination, the Karnak Temple in Karnak, a small village 2.5 km south of Luxor and right on the banks of the Nile. The Karnak temple complex is considered the largest in Egypt and consists of three walled areas, the district of Amun, the district of the month and the district of Mut. In addition to these three large temple districts, there is also the Aten Temple and the Gem-Pa-Aton, which Akhenaten had built in Karnak in the sixth year of his reign.
Afterwards we whisk you away to a local restaurant where you will be served lunch.
Freshly strengthened, the journey continues by car. After a short time, you will reach the statues of the ancient Egyptian king Amenophis III, who lived 3400 years ago, as well as the Colossi of Memnon. The journey then continues to the fascinating Valley of the Kings, where you can visit 3 of the famous pharaohs' tombs and admire the beautiful paintings and hyroglyphs. After you have looked around extensively, visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, here you will also find fascinating murals and unique construction methods. The day is slowly coming to an end, so around 4 p.m. you will start your journey home to your hotel. Enjoy the sunset on the return journey and let all the impressions of the day sink in.
