DAY 1: - Arrival in Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, our representative is waiting for you at the immigration counter with a sign with your name on it to assist you with visa formalities. Then, departure from the airport and transfer in a modern air-conditioned car to the hotel. Finish your hotel accommodation and declare your itinerary details.
DAY 2: - The pyramids of Giza and the Egyptian Museum (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the impressive visit of the Giza complex and its pyramids. A tour of approximately three hours through the Giza plateau to discover the most outstanding monuments in the world, of course the only wonder of the ancient world that exists so far; the pyramid of king Cheops. Also, next door are two larger pyramids; that of Khafre, son of Cheops and that of Menkaure, son of the latter and grandson of Cheops. This is where the most famous sculpture in the world is located; the Sphinx of Giza, dating from the time of Khafre. Also, we visit his temple called Temple of the Valley. To access the interior of a pyramid. You can choose between Menkaure for only 100 L.E. or the pyramid of Cheops, for 440 L.E. Tickets are purchased at the ticket offices of the main entrances of the enclosure and only the Egyptian currency, the pound, is accepted. In the afternoon the extended visit of the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, is the richest museum of monuments in the world. Here are the masterpieces of the pharaonic era, the treasure of Tutankhamun and many statues of Egyptian wealth in different materials.
At the appropriate time according to the reservation, transfer to the train station in Cairo (Giza) to board the train to Luxor. It is a sleeping-car train with double cabins (with 2 beds). The trip takes approximately 10 hours. Dinner and breakfast on the train.
DAY 3: - Luxor (full board)
Breakfast on the train and on arrival in Luxor; West Bank tours begin for tours that include Egypt's most important necropolis, the Valley of the Kings and we can enter three tombs. Then we visit the temple of Deir El Bahary; It is the funerary temple of Pharaoh Hatshepsut from 1480 BC.
Afterwards we have a stop in front of the colossi of Memnon; two gigantic statues that were moved from Cairo to flank the entrance to the funerary temple of King Amenophis III. Have lunch at a local restaurant and cross the Nile to visit the Karnak temple. It is the largest temple of worship in the entire world with an area reaching over 23 hectares. Then we continue to the temple of Luxor, from the time of the New Kingdom of the famous pharaohs such as: Tuthmosis III, Ramses II, Amenophis III and Alexander the Great has left. After, finishing the excursion, we will go to the Luxor train station to return to Cairo.
Day 4: Excursion to Alexandria
Upon arrival in Cairo, departure to Alexandria, the most important Mediterranean city in Egypt and the only city founded by Alexander the Great himself. We will start by visiting the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. Unique style tombs in Egypt called catacombs from the Greco-Roman era.
It is followed by a visit to the place where centuries ago the great temple of the Serapeum stood, where today we preserve some vestiges such as the famous Pompeo column from the time of Diocletian at the end of the 3rd century and some sphinxes from the Greek era.
At the right moment we take the opportunity to have lunch in a restaurant with views of the Mediterranean. The menu will include fish and seafood rice dishes.
In the afternoon, visit one of the most important modern buildings in the city... it is the New Alexandrian Library, inaugurated in October 2002, which is one of the most important cultural spaces in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Alexandria city tour ends; we finally start our way back to the hotel in Cairo.
DAY 5: - Cairo
Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, transfer to Cairo International Airport to depart for your next destination.
