DAY 1: SPLIT TO PUČI ĆA
After meeting your Sail Trip Manager and fellow travelers, we set sail for our first stop, Pučišća on the island of Brač. We enjoy lunch with new friends whilst cruising along the Dalmatian coast, and in the late afternoon, we dock at our port for the night with plenty of time to explore. Set at the end of a beautiful, natural bay, Pučišća was once voted one of Europe’s prettiest Towns! Pučišća boasts some of the purest and whitest stone in Europe, used to build Diocletian’s Palace in Split, and the White House in Washington DC - as well as being used for most of the local buildings! Tonight we get to know each other over an included onboard barbecue of local grilled meats and salads and raise a toast as the sun sets on our first day together.
Included: Lunch, BBQ dinner.
DAY 2: PUČI ĆA TO HVAR TOWN VIA ZLATNI RAT
We set sail in the morning to reach our next destination of Hvar Town, stopping to swim off the famous Zlatni Rat or ‘Golden Horn’. One of the most recognizable beaches on the Dalmatian Coastline, Zlatni Rat pokes out like a tongue of pebbles into the sea, continuously changing shape due to the waves, wind, and sea currents. We enjoy lunch whilst sailing before we anchor within the Pakleni Islands. From here, our water taxi will pick us up and take us to explore our destination of the day. The beautifully bustling Hvar Town was once an important military stronghold and showcases its charming Venetian architecture. This afternoon you have the opportunity to visit the medieval panjola Fortress, which has watched over the town since the 13th century and enjoy the postcard views of the town and surrounding islands, known as one of the most famous photographed views in Dalmatia. Enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail with a view at one of Hvar’s many waterfront bars, and tonight have the chance to indulge in some of Croatia’s best nightlife as this buzzing town comes alive.
Included: Breakfast, lunch, water taxi to Hvar.
DAY 3: HVAR TOWN TO MLJET
Off we sail to arrive for our morning ritual of diving into that crystal clear water. We will enjoy lunch on board before heading to the port of Pomena and to the stunning Mljet National Park. Here your entrance to the park is included, and we spend a leisurely afternoon exploring the two saltwater lakes surrounded by lush pine forest. You have the option to cycle, kayak, or head to the small island Monastery of St Mary. Dine at the local eateries tonight, and later, toast another sensational sunset from the top deck.
Included: Breakfast, lunch, entrance to Mljet National Park.
DAY 4: MLJET TO DUBROVNIK
After a beautiful morning of sailing and stopping for our daily swim, we arrive in Dubrovnik ready to explore all that this amazing city has to offer. The ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ is most certainly the most popular city in Dalmatia for many reasons, most impressively its prosperous history - you will have the option to join a historical walking tour with a local guide. More recently the city has become famous as the setting of King’s Landing in Game of Thrones. For fans of the show, there is also a GoT walking tour available. Maybe check out the ancient city walls which have stood strong for centuries, and protected the inhabitants from attack. Tonight, you could try some local seafood for dinner at one of the city’s excellent eateries and prepare to dance the night away at Club Revelin, within the 15th-century fortress.
Included: Breakfast, lunch, transport to Dubrovnik Old Town, entrance to Club Revelin.
DAY 5: DUBROVNIK TO KORČULA
Today we continue to the island of Korčula, the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. Revel in a leisurely lunch onboard and a lush swim stops in one of the beautiful bays near Korčula Town. Here is famous for wine, and it is the perfect place to gain knowledge about some of the famous Croatian grapes over a wine tasting. Choosing one of the many picturesque spots for dinner and finishing the day with a sunset cocktail high in part of the town’s medieval fortifications is simply stunning.
Included: Breakfast, lunch.
DAY 6: KORČULA TO JELSA
On we go to reach another destination situated on Hvar Island, Jelsa. Before docking we will have our daily lunch and swim stop, arriving for exploration late afternoon. Jelsa was once a significant center for shipbuilding and trade, and from here the best wines, olive oils, and dried fish from Hvar would make their way around Europe. This evening we head to a winery and organic farm on the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Stari Grad Plain. Today Split is Croatia’s second-largest city and is where the locals live, work and play. Within the ancient palace walls, there is a treasure trove of restaurants, bars, and shops to be explored.
