Hiking - Cesargradska gora and heritage of the town of Klanjec
A walk along the small vineyards and forests on the slopes of Cesargradska gora, above the town of Klanjec, allows you to get to know the natural and cultural-historical heritage of this part of Croatia along the border with Slovenia. After the meeting and welcome, we will teach you to walk with sticks and go on a tour. From the center of Klanjac, you walk along a path through small vineyards with winelodge and along a mountain path through a mixed forest to Japica, the only peak of Cesargradska Gora (509 m). The forest road leads to the mountain house and the ruins of the historical fortress Cesargrad. During the tour of the fort, a historical story about this fort and its inhabitants is presented. The mountain house is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped area with numerous benches for rest and a beautiful viewpoint on the canyon of the Sutla River and neighboring Slovenia. He returns to the starting point along the forest macadam road with a stop at the Pesji skok viewpoint. In the center of Klanjec, the city's rich cultural and historical heritage is interpreted with a tour of the sarcophagus of the Erdedy family in the Franciscan monastery, the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the sculpture park of the Antun Augustinčić gallery.
