DETAILED ITINERARY - COSTA RICA ADVENTURE VACATIONS (12 Days and 11 Nights): - 5 nights in Central Valley - 2 nights in Tortuguero - 2 nights in Arenal - 2 nights in Monteverde DAY 1: COSTA RICA Welcome to San Jose de Costa Rica !!! Our Supervisor of the Receptive Department will be waiting for you at the Juan Santamaria International Airport to greet and assist you with personalized attention, to deliver your documents, itinerary and service vouchers included in the 12 day program in Costa Rica. Then he will help you with your bags to board the van to the Hotel Wyndham Herradura where you will stay for the first 4 nights in San Jose with daily breakfast included. Rest of the day free lodging in San Jose. DAY 2: SAN JOSE- VOLCAN IRAZU, CARTAGO AND VALLEY OF OROSI Breakfast at the hotel. At 7:30 AM - start to the Full day tour from San José to the Irazu Volcano National Park, Cartago City and Orosi Coffee Valley with lunch. - Duration: 8 hours Lodging in San Jose DAY 3: SAN JOSE- CATAMARAN TO ISLA TORTUGA Breakfast at the hotel. At 6:30 AM - start to the Full day tour to the city and port of Puntarenas to board the catamaran that will take us to the beautiful Tortuga Island, an authentic jewel with fine white sand beaches lapped by warm turquoise waters of the Pacific Ocean where we will enjoy the sun, sand and sea including a delicious lunch under the shade of palm trees on the beach, returning at sunset to the catamaran to start the trip back to your hotel in San Jose. - Duration: 14 hours. Lodging in San Jose DAY 4: SAN JOSE- COFFEE PLANTATIONS, POAS VOLCANO AND WILDLIFE REFUGE OF LA PAZ WATERFALLS GARDENS Breakfast at the hotel. At 6:30 AM - start to the Full day tour to the coffee region in the lands of the Central Volcanic Mountain Range of Costa Rica with visits to the coffee plantations of first quality with explanation of the cultivation and production of our gold. Then we will ascend to the top of the mountain range, entering the Poás volcano national park to see the gigantic active crater surrounded by a dense humid tropical forest with incredible biodiversity. After, we will go to the natural park of La Paz to enjoy the incredible scenic beauty of the 4 waterfalls of the Rio La Paz and an amazing variety of exotic birds, butterflies, hummingbirds, frogs, snakes and wild animals in the refuge of life wild of La Paz with a delicious Costa Rican buffet lunch. - Duration: 10 hours. DAY 5: SAN JOSE- TORTUGUERO Breakfast at the hotel At 6:00 AM - Departure with suitcases bound for the wonderful Caribbean plains of the province of Limon to explore the rainforests of Tortuguero National Park. During the trip accompanied by a professional naturalist guide, we will visit the Braulio Carrillo National Park and its monumental mountains covered by extensive rainforests and clouds before descending to the city of Guapiles to enjoy a typical breakfast and continue to the river dock to board the boat. en route to the famous Tortuguero canals through the rainforest to the Hotel Pachira Lodge where we will stay 3 days and 2 nights including all daily meals and local tours in the canals and rivers of the region with the opportunity to observe an amazing amount and diversity of animals and wild birds. Lodging in Tortuguero. DAY 6: TORTUGUERO Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. - During the day there will be exploration tours of the region. Lodging in Tortuguero DAY 7: TORTUGUERO- ARENAL AND LA FORTUNA Breakfast and lunch included At mid-morning we will board the boat to start the return trip to the city of Guapiles to have lunch and continue the transfer to the northern region with destination to the city of La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano. At mid-afternoon we will be arriving at the Hotel Montaña de Fuego to stay for 3 days and 2 nights with the buffet breakfast included. After a well-deserved rest in the hotel room, we will enjoy the hot springs of the Arenal volcano with an exquisite dinner included. Lodging in La Fortuna. DAY 8: ARENAL - ADVENTURE OR NATURE TOUR Breakfast at the hotel At 9:00 AM - start to the Day Tour (you can choose between 3 options): Zipline Canopy, Class III Rafting on the River Balsa or the Chocolate Tour. Rest of the day free. Lodging in La Fortuna. DAY 9: ARENAL-MONTEVERDE Breakfast at the hotel. At 8:30 AM - Transfer by bus and boat through Lake Arenal to the cloud forest of Monteverde. Arrival and registration at Hotel Heliconia with daily breakfast included to enjoy 3 days and 2 nights experiencing the beauty and diversity of the cloud forests and observe tropical nature. Rest of the day free. Lodging in Monteverde. DAY 10: MONTEVERDE Breakfast at the hotel. At 8:00 AM - start to the Hiking tour in the cloud forest of Monteverde including the famous Hanging Bridges to experience the captivating beauty of the forests in the high mountains of the mountain range and its amazing biodiversity. Rest of the day free. Lodging in Monteverde DAY 11: MONTEVERDE-SAN JOSE Breakfast at the hotel 7:00 am Land transfer from Monteverde to San Jose. Lodging for 1 night at the Wyndham Herradura Hotel with breakfast buffet. Rest of the day free. Lodging in San Jose. DAY 12: SAN JOSE- AIRPORT. Breakfast at the hotel.
