The Expedition Amazônia: Rio Negro will be carried out in the Lake Acajatuba region, within the municipality of Iranduba-AM, located on Rio Negro, 70 km from Manaus.
The municipality of Iranduba, together with the municipalities of Manacapuru and Novo Airão are part of the Rio Negro Sustainable Development Reserve. This conservation unit was created in 2008.
The Reserve has an area of approximately 103 thousand hectares and is mainly inhabited by residents of traditional riverside communities, who have a unique culture.
We look forward to welcoming you to our partner guesthouses on Lake Acajatuba, a friendly and welcoming region, inhabited mainly by people who live in floating houses or on farms. Transportation is always done by boat, and we work with inns that are up to 20 minutes away by speedboat from the main community, offering a unique and memorable experience for our travelers.

Day 1
Welcome to Manaus! Hotel check-in will be available at 2pm. Explore the city by visiting the Amazon Museum, the Amazonas Theater and the meeting of the waters. Try local cuisine in one of the city's many typical restaurants.
Day 2
After breakfast, we will continue our journey to the Lake Acajatuba region, first with the van, then with canoes. Upon arrival at the community, we will be welcomed with a delicious regional lunch. After lunch, we will review important information before enjoying the late afternoon with a sunset on the Seu Shell floating boat.
Day 3
In the morning, we will go on a walk* in the forest, where we will learn about the Amazon flora and fauna and take lessons on survival in the jungle. After lunch, we will visit the Meliponário Flor do Taxi and, when night falls, we will take the canoes out to observe the Amazonian sky.
*Or trail in the forest (in the months when the accommodation will be at Vista do Lago)
Day 4
In the morning, we will interact with porpoises. After lunch, we will have a tasting of delicious typical Amazonian sweets. Late afternoon and evening free.
Day 5
We will leave early with our canoes to watch the sunrise. In the morning, we will take a trip to Samaúma on the Ariaú River. After lunch, we will have a Cassava Process workshop at Casa de Farinha. Late afternoon and evening free.
Day 6
We started the day with a Natural Cosmetics workshop with Amazon Ingredients. After lunch, we go to the Crafts workshop with Casa Japiim and close the afternoon with a visit to the Turtle Preservation Project. At night, prepare your swing to learn carimbó!
Day 7
In the morning, we will take a cabocla canoe trip. After lunch, we will do an Açaí or cooking workshop (according to seasonality) and close the program with a medicinal herb experience. Late afternoon and evening free.
Day 8
After breakfast, we will have an emotional farewell ceremony and embark to return to Manaus. Arrival at the airport at 12pm. Return flights must be booked from 2pm onwards.
