OKAVANGO DELTA
Wake up and have breakfast then we will transfer you to the mokoro station by 4WD open sided safari vehicle (about an hour) where you will meet your guide / poler. The mokoro is a traditional canoe-like vessel commonly used in the Okavango Delta as a popular mode of transport, and now utilised for game viewing safaris. The mokoro excursion is a very popular activity in the Okavango Delta among guests who travel to Botswana. It is an opportunity to fully experience the sounds and sights of nature without running the risk of scaring off animals with a motor and is thus a highly recommended expedition for photographers. Guides that command mokoro are highly knowledgeable about the environment and as such these trips are considered safe and enjoyable. You will glide along myriad water channels, in a mokoro (dug out canoe) looking for wildlife and bird species which inhabit the Delta.
There are no facilities out there as you camp on an island chosen by your guide. On arrival your guide will take you for a game walk where you can enjoy awesome sightings and the sound of birdsong. After a game walk, you will head to the camp where you will find your tents ready, followed by lunch. After lunch you may enjoy a siesta moment in camp to avoid the mid-day heat. Your accommodation will be a 2.4m x 2.4m dome tent with a comfortable stretcher beds and mattresses. Wait for the sunset for the amazing changes in hue that give visitors so much pleasure. At dusk your guide will light you a fire where all your meals will be prepared by a professional chef. Please bring a hat and sunscreen as there is no shade. Bedtime will be determined by the last guest.

Time can be taken to relax and have a drink. After the bush walk, you can relax and unwind in the camp, refresh and take dinner under the Milky Way starlit skies after which the guide will narrate cultural stories and entertain you with traditional dances which display animal tracking techniques and gathering methods for traditional medicinal purposes.
