Coal Valley Wine and Gin Safaris

Departing Hobart around 8.30am, this tour offers something for everyone. Start the day by visiting and driving across the Tasman Bridge and park beneath to learn about the Lake Illawarra collision and bridge collapse. Visit Kangaroo Bluff Battery and learn about Tasmania's early war-time history. Originally developed in the late 1800s to prevent enemy vessels posing a threat to Hobart, it now makes the perfect picnic location with views over the River Derwent, Kunanyi/Mount Wellington and Hobart. We then head to Wicked Cheese nestled in the stunning Richmond area for your first tastings of the day. Then take the opportunity to explore the historical Richmond Village and walk over Australia's oldest working bridge. For lunch, enjoy a 2-course meal and wine tasting whilst looking over the stunning vineyard at Frogmore Creek Restaurant. After lunch we head to the beautiful Every Man & His Dog Vineyard for a chocolate and wine pairing. Their friendly, knowledgable staff will take you through their fascinating process of wine & chocolate making. Our last stop of the day is at the picturesque Killara Distillery, where you'll enjoy a range of gin and whisky tastings. A renowned Tasmanian distillery that incorporates a range of locally grown botanicals in their distilling process. Finish the day with a scenic drive back to Hobart, arriving at approximately 4pm.
