Thien Canh Son Cave lies in the Cong Ho Island’s protected area. A visit to Son Cave truly represent the Halong Bay as it is not only natural and unique but distinctive in its beauty also. Even though it is smaller than Sung Sot Cave but is as much attractive as the Sung Sot cave, however, rush at this place is relatively less than what is found at Sung Sot Cave.
Walking on the path leading towards Thien Canh Son Cave, one might have an imagination as he is climbing a stairway to heaven. Path is actually 60 steps long and covered with a canopy along with wonderful scenery of Bay. The environment of this area is so refreshing that if you will visit this area in summer, you will feel that humidity and heat have replaced cool and fresh air. The Thien Canh Son Cave actually consists of three caverns.
Magnificent stalactites in the shape of lotus flower offer surreal wonderland. The roof of the cave is alike baby elephant seals. You will be impressed by the beauty that Mother Nature has created here as years and years of stalagmites and stalactites formations have formed various shapes in multiple sizes. The cave has been turned into a fancy world. The roof of cave sparkle as such if the ceiling is made of diamond carpet.
Millions of tourists came to Halong Bay every year, to enjoy the marvelous scenery and in fact to mesmerize from the different geomorphology. These caves and grottoes were formed over continuous erosion of hundreds of years. The easiest way to reach Thien Canh Son Cave is by cruise ship. You will be taken to shore of Island by the boat trip. As previously mentioned, the path to cave comprised of sixty steps, so the fragile one and those who have little tendency to climb should be extra careful.
