Tengboche is basically a town in Khumbu Pasanglhamu, province No 1 of Nepal. A very famous Tengboche monastery is located in the village. Panoramic views of Himalayas can be enjoyed from this village. For instance, beautiful peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Tenzing Norgay, and Tawache can be seen from the village. Location of Tengboche at the confluence of Imja Khola Rivers and Dudh Kosi makes it attractive.
Residents of Tengboche are mostly Sherpas who came from Tibet six years ago. A mountain trail from Namche is normally used by visitors to reach this place. From the airport of Lukla, it takes four days by trekking to this place. When the sun rays in summer directly fall at the Ama Dablam and the tip of the Everest, it glows and gives a panoramic view of the site. It is a midway station for climbers of Mt. Everest. Many tourists are attracted towards this place round the year.
Rainfalls, snowy peaks, and sunlight, every view of Tengboche has its own look and gives a unique opportunity to the tourists to enjoy the panoramic views. The cultural and religious significance of Tengboche is also huge as it houses the famous Tengboche monastery and other housing constructions in a unique style.
The infrastructure in the village is critically less developed and most of the living items are transported by trekking routes that ultimately makes the living conditions expensive. Many guesthouses and buildings can be found for the accommodation of visitors. Thus, if you are planning to go to this area, you must make a night stay in Tengboche to enjoy the views of mountains and other beautiful localities at different times of the day.
