The Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is normally used as an International logistical hub, but also for sports, fishing boats as well as passenger and commercial ships. Port Authority of Santa de Cruz de Tenerife has the operational authority of it. Port Authority also manages all other leisure and commercial ports. A famous building of Auditorio de Tenerife is also near to it. It is a reality that this port handles almost 23% of the total passengers of Santa de Cruz de Tenerife. In addition to passenger activities, this facility connects numerous shipping lines, networking it with ports of Africa, Europe, and America.
Since 2016, Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has been included in the world’s three major ports for cruise traffic. Other two are the port of Hong Kong and Port of Southampton.

The Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has one of the most modern cruise terminals in the region. It has the capacity to handle up to 10,000 cruise passengers. Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary II stopped in the port in 2004. The port is close to two international airports which makes it better for cruise passengers.
