Villages like Phakding in Nepal are remote and built-in traditional Nepalese style which gives a unique architectural beauty to the sightseeing villages. Phakding is one of them, located in the Khumbu region of Dudh Kosi river valley at an approximate altitude of 2610 m.
The beauty and importance of site can be measured from this fact that it is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979. The path towards Phakding starts over from Lukla and this is the main stopover along the way for trekkers and travelers going via Gokyo Ri towards Mt. Everest.
The Phakding village is playing a leading role to support and flourish the tourism in the area and to serve that purpose, a number of small guesthouses have been constructed in this village. Panoramic scenery of mountain peaks being showered with sunrays stun the visitors.
