Mirador El Time is one of the many viewpoints of La Palma island, which belongs to the Canaries. It offers yet another great view of the island, even when you think that the views can't get any more beautiful and diverse. El Time viewpoint is located in the municipality of Tijarafe which is in the western part of La Palma.

Standing at the altitude of 594 metres above the sea level, you will witness the breath-taking panorama of the Aridane Valley, bright green with banana plantations and pierced by the Barranco de Las Angustias, the ravine. Not the only valley, but you will also see the bird's eye view of the towns Los Llanos de Aridane and Puntagorda since Mirador El Time is placed between them. Further extends the magnificent beach of Tazacorte with its black sand, looking very elegant with its stark contrast against blue ocean waters. Also, you will most likely be able to notice the National Park of La Caldera de Taburiente which has the observatory Roque de Los Muchachos at its highest point. However, El Time has got its own telescope on site!

If you're lucky to be at the viewpoint on a clear day, it is possible to make out an island El Hierro, but it will not probably be seen on the pictures. On a cloudy day, another magnificent phenomenon is waiting for you, namely the lowering of clouds, also known as "bajada de los nubes", when clouds come down on mountain massifs like milk.

Speaking about mountains, there is Pico Bejenado seen from El Time, and it's peculiar due to the illusion of slightly changing shape and colour. Depending on the time of day and type of light, the mountain alters its appearance!

Mirador EL Time can be reached by car, by bus and on foot. However, be careful - the road up to El Time is really steep, almost vertical, so it is potentially dangerous. Also, crawling up and down reportedly lacks shade, which is an additional difficulty for most visitors. However, if you make it to the top, you can reward yourself with omelette and traditional Canarian coffee with condensed milk and liqueur. By the way, when the sun sets, the view of the dark Aridane valley with fairy-lights of windows beneath your feet looks out of this world, so we'd recommend staying at the Mirador El Time along with the sunset time!
