Mirador de Abrante was opened for the general public in 2013 in La Gomera Island. It has become a prominent tourist spot of the island and located in the municipality of Agulo. The site is 620 m above the sea level. Mirador de Abrante is on the edge of the cliff having a vertical decline of 200m owing to which the builders of it took it as a challenge. It is a resting place for the walkers as well as a viewpoint which offers scenic experiences.
A beautiful café and tourist information center are located at its base. You can take a refreshing look of Aguila village by drinking a cup of coffee at the café. This place is being operated by the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of Canary Island. During construction of this place, reinforced concrete slabs were used in the foundation. In situ fabrication of beams and their subsequent placement was carried out under the accepted international standard procedures. Visitors must have a car before starting the tour towards this place as it is quite away from the main transport route.
