A resort town, Los Gigantes is situated on the west coast of Tenerife, Canary Islands. Main characteristics of it are Acantilados de Los Gigantes and the giant rock formations which rise up to the height of 850 meters from the sea level. This town has been named after these rock formations. Los Gigantes represents “The Giants”.
Basaltic geological characteristics are found in these cliffs. At times of Guanches, in the past, these were known as “Wall of Hell”. Near to this in the south are the Puerto de Santiago resorts as well as Playa de la Arena. Another village named Masca is also located near it in the north. A marina has encircled the town with the help of concrete walls to stop rough sea’ waves around the area. Marina has boulevard attached to the restaurants.
