Anaga is famous for its mountains which have sharp peaks containing lush green trees. One hour’s drive from La Laguna and Santa Cruz - the capital of Island - is adequate to reach this exciting place. Roaming through this place reminds you of the times when there was a harmony between humans and their surroundings. The whole scenery is so naturally beautiful that many people return to visit this place more than once. One can see Interesting places here like Roques de Anaga, a rock formation, shaped by geological activities. This region is relatively cut off from the main roads and presents undiscovered Tenerife. For instance, some people in here still living in caves. This place is full of natural Flora and Faunas which depicts a beautiful ecological environment. This remote area is characterized by tropical forests including Laurisilva. Jungle’s history dated back to the Tertiary Period and can be found only in Islands of Azores. A location in the mountains named “El Bailadero” is thought to be the home of witches doing witchcraft around a bonfire. Anaga Rural Park is one of those places of the world which survived rainforests. A few million years ago, the whole territory of Macaronesia and the Mediterranean coast was covered with laurel forest.
