Day 1: Wine Route 1: Aragatsotn Province

  • Armenian wine museum. Here you will plunge into the history of the development of viticulture and winemaking in the Armenian Highlands, not only by recording and interpreting the facts presented, but also through interactive and innovative solutions. The main exhibition hall of the museum is located at the level of underground basalt rocks at a depth of 8 meters.
  • The wine village Voskevaz: wine tasting and tour of the village. Wine village Voskevaz. This is a unique tourist complex where you can learn everything about winemaking, tour the cellars, and enjoy tasting a variety of wines․
  • Saghmosavank Monastery. We will show you the Saghmosavank monastery complex on the edge of the gorge, which offers a wonderful view of nature. The Armenian word "Sagmos" means psalm, which translated means spiritual song. This is the only monastery in the world that received the name "Psalms" in honor of those who sang Psalms here. And, indeed, this monastery complex has excellent acoustics.
  • Amberd Fortress .Built on the slope of Mount Aragats in the 10th-13th centuries, the Amberd fortress was an important military defensive base of the Armenian kingdom of Bagratunyats and had the advantage of inaccessibility. Walk inside the fort walls and enjoy the magnificent views

Day 2: Wine Route 2: Vayots Dzor Province

  • Noravank Monastery. Here, you will discover a unique monastery building that was destroyed and plundered by the Tatar-Mongols during their raids, only to be later restored through the efforts of the very same Tatar-Mongols. The monastery is surrounded by red rocks, providing a magnificent view.
  • Areni-1 cave complex: Early Bronze Age ritual site and settlement. Areni Cave is a complex of caves on the bank of Arpa River in the Vayots Dzor region, located in the southeastern part of Armenia. It is also called "Bird's Cave". In 2010, the oldest leather shoe in the world, which is 5.5 thousand years old, was found in the cave. There is at least a four-meter cultural layer in the cave, and excavations continue to this day. You will explore the interior of the cave, transporting you back thousands of years, allowing you to feel and touch history.
  • Lunchtime in the winery.
  • Smbataberd Fortress. Smbataberd was one of the defensive fortresses in modern Armenian history, founded in the early Middle Ages. It is a unique place that allows you to imagine how defense against enemy attacks was organized.
  • Areni village: wine tasting and dinner.

Among these, over 14,200 are Armenian, while the rest are written in various foreign languages such as Greek, Latin, Aramaic, Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Old Church Slavonic, Ethiopian, Japanese, and more.
